Fresh Garlic Paste
Garlic is a key ingredient in many delicious recipes. Lets be honest, fresh always tastes better, plus you know exactly what you are putting in your body. This garlic paste is easy, quick and stores for up to 2 weeks in the fridge or 6 months in the freezer!
The recipe makes enough for 4 mini mason jars or 1 small mason jar.
Fresh Garlic Paste
Ingredients:
20 Large Garlic
1/2 Cup of Olive Oil
1/2 Tsp Salt
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400.
Peel your garlic and place on a baking pan. Drizzle olive oil over the pan and place in the oven for 20 minutes.
Turn the heat down to 325 and let the garlic cook for 1 hour more.
Remove from the oven and let cool. About 20 minutes.
Transfer everything from the pan into a food processor and blend until smooth.
Transfer to your jars and store either in the fridge or the freezer. This paste store for up to 2 weeks in the fridge, or 6 months in the freezer.
Easy Peeling Trick:
Use 2 steel bowls that are sized similarly. You can also use two steel mugs, pans, or whatever you have laying around.
Break apart your garlic into cloves and place into the bowl.
Place the bowls one on top of the other so they form a sphere.
Shake the steel sphere vigorously for 5 minutes.
Separate the peeled cloved from the peels.
Return any unpeeled to the bowl and repeat steps 1-5.
